After serving Chicago with custom picture framing for over fifty years, we would like to offer our sincere respect to FredEric’s Framing for the expertise and care they have lent to the picture framing industry. Founded in 1965 by Fred Baker and Erich Klein, the home of FredEric’s Frame Studio Inc. has long been at 1230 West Jackson in Chicago, but their shop is regretfully closing this month.
We regret to see one of our fellow standard bearers leave the industry, as there are fewer and fewer companies fabricating traditional hand-crafted picture frames. Fortunately, this skill-driven, artisan practice will still be available in Chicagoland. Through our group of companies, we will not only continue to offer fully customized picture frames, but also custom mirror and glass creation and art and antique restoration.
Armand Lee and Seaberg Picture Framing take pride in continuing the seventy-five-plus-year tradition of serving our clients with the custom creation of hand-carved picture frames, gold leaf frames, and hand-lacquered picture frames. Our companies will continue to serve Chicago by offering these services and look forward to the opportunities to apply our experts’ skills to all future unique and bespoke projects.
